One of the largest design projects to date for MossCreek is now complete. Located near Seattle, Washington, the 12,000 square foot home is a stunning example of the style that MossCreek has become so well known for. Featuring a structural timber frame of all reclaimed timbers, the home incorporates many unique amenities and design elements. Among these is an observation room accessible by its own elevator, a walk-in wine cooler that holds upwards of 1400 bottles of wine, an old-time soda fountain, and a 36 foot tall great room. We have presented in these photos a chronology of the construction of the home, and we hope you enjoy seeing its creation as much as we enjoyed being a part of it. MossCreek is an independent design firm specializing in timber frame, hybrid, and log homes. With projects all over the world, we have become the designer of choice for custom homes like this one. Another home based upon one of our most popular Ready to Purchase plans, the Pintail, has just been completed, and the owners were kind enough to share several photos of their home with us. At just over 2,000 square feet, the Pintail is the perfect size for those looking for that MossCreek style in a smaller, hybrid, home. As a nod to the Craftsman Style lines of the home, we have taken the liberty of presenting the photos to you in black and white. We hope you enjoy this home as much as our clients do. MossCreek has begun design work for an addition to a centuries old farmhouse near Nashville, TN. The farm has been in the same family since the Revolutionary War era, and the owners sought out MossCreek for our expertise in working with antique and reclaimed materials and structures. The farmhouse, lovingly maintained through the years, will serve as the centerpiece of an addition that MossCreek is designing. The new addition will provide increased gathering and living space for our clients and their extended family. Also on the property is a remarkably well-preserved barn that most recently served as the perfect setting for a picture-book wedding. MossCreek is excited to be a part of this project, and we wanted to share some of the project kick-off photos and initial drawings with you. Please click the image to view them.
We recently visited the build site in North Carolina of one of our Cumberland Trace hybrid home designs. The Cumberland Trace is part of our Ready to Purchase plan series, and, as is often the case, our clients had us make a select group of modifications to highly personalize their new home. These photos were taken as the last finishing details were being done to the home, and we are happy to say that our clients were able to spend the holidays in their new MossCreek designed home. Our Ready to Purchase plans are part of our design services, which, along with our traditional custom design services, enable MossCreek to help our clients create their perfect home. Please click the image to see the photos, as well as the original plans for the Cumberland Trace design, and we look forward to creating the perfect home for you.
Wooden Homes” magazine of Russia just featured one of MossCreek’s unique rustic homes on the cover of their popular magazine. The “Eagles Nest” by MossCreek was chosen by the magazine as an example of American rustic style homes to present to their international readership. Additionally, the magazine included a feature story about this exciting home. MossCreek is currently working on a very large project near Moscow, and we are thrilled that our style is becoming more popular the world over. Please click the cover to download the article.

MossCreek has just received photos of a beautiful home that we designed. The home was designed for a client who wanted a gathering place for family and friends at a popular New England Ski Resort. Featuring a beautiful timber frame in the great room and master bedroom, the home is an excellent example of the style that MossCreek has become so well known for. With a year-round outdoor living area, a fun terrace level recreation area, and a perfectly-sized carriage house apartment, this home is ideal for summer get togethers as well as after ski celebrations by the fire. One of our “main and lower level” designs is just a couple weeks away from completion in the Balsam Mountain development in Western North Carolina. Featuring a main level and lower level only, the OldSquaw design has been very popular with our clients who are looking for just such a plan. We are excited to bring you these progress photos of an extremely well executed home, and as soon as the owner’s are all moved in we will be doing a complete photo tour. In the meantime, enjoy the photos, AND the beautiful views from this outstanding home. Please click the image to see the photos.
We just visited several MossCreek designed homes in Pennsylvania. Among them are a Timberline Camp and Barn Owl that are underway in the Poconos region. Both homes are done as timber frame homes, and both are for sale. The builder would be happy to finish the interiors “to your specifications”. The Timberline Camp is located adjacent to a golf course, and the Barn Owl is a lakefront home. If you would like more information on these homes, or would like to tour them, we would be happy to put you in contact with the builder. Please click the image to see photos of both homes.
