66. Timberline Camp and Barn Owl in Pennsylvania

We just visited several MossCreek designed homes in Pennsylvania. Among them are a Timberline Camp and Barn Owl that are underway in the Poconos region. Both homes are done as timber frame homes, and both are for sale. The builder would be happy to finish the interiors “to your specifications”. The Timberline Camp is located adjacent to a golf course, and the Barn Owl is a lakefront home. If you would like more information on these homes, or would like to tour them, we would be happy to put you in contact with the builder. Please click the image to see photos of both homes.

65. Not One, but TWO Cascades Lodge Designs Underway!

Two versions of one of our most popular designs, the “Cascades Lodge”, are now underway in Pennsylvania. One of them is being built as a “hybrid” home, is nearly complete, and is already being lived in. The other is being built as an “all-log” home and is moving along nicely, with the owners hoping to move in by Christmas. We were lucky enough to visit both of them just recently, and we wanted to share interior photos of one and construction photos of the other with you. The Cascades Lodge plan is now available as a “Ready to Purchase” plan from MossCreek. Please click the image to see photos of both of these great homes.

64. Blue Ridge Mountains Kokanee

One of the most recent examples of the popular MossCreek Kokanee design is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Southern Appalachians. This home features an incredible view, numerous outdoor spaces, a spacious kitchen and great room, large bedrooms, and was constructed as an “all-log” home. One of the more unique features of the home is a wine cellar that is actually carved into the rock below the home. The owners use the residence for entertaining year-round, but they are especially fond of Christmas, so an extensive collection of Christmas decorations is always on display. 63. MossCreek Brings Rustic, Elegant, and Eclectic Together in a New York Project

MossCreek is fortunate to work with unique clients to create special homes, and we are pleased to bring you photographs of just such a home that we designed in rural New York state. Working closely with our client we developed a showcase home for their extensive collection of early American art as well as the work of contemporary artisans. Through the extensive use of reclaimed materials, and even entire structures, an inviting home and an outdoor pavilion/guest house were designed to take full advantage of a picture-perfect setting. The end result is a country retreat that is a refuge from the city. MossCreek specializes in designing one-of-a kind projects such as this retreat, and we welcome the opportunity to do the same for you. We would like to thank photographer Bjorn Wallender for so perfectly capturing this home, and you can click the image to see the complete tour.

62. MossCreek Hybrid Timber Frame Home Coming Along Well

We had an opportunity to make another visit to one of our latest projects and we wanted to share the photographs with you. Featuring many of the design elements that MossCreek is known for, the home is well on the way to completion, and the clients hope to spend the holidays in it. As you look at the photos you will see items such as poplar bark, timber frame purlins and braces, timber frame gable truss work, random length cedar shingle siding, and even a generously sized stone water table. All of these details help give this home its distinctive MossCreek style, and our clients report that on any given weekend several people visit the home to see this truly unique residence. 61. Lake James, NC Project Kick-Off

MossCreek just began a new custom design project at the Southpointe community on Lake James in North Carolina. As we always do with our custom projects, the first step was meeting with the client at their build site. After viewing the build site, and the great views, we went to a nearby restaurant and began sketching with the client. Please click the image to see photos of the project site as well as some of the floor plan and elevation drawings that were developed during this first meeting.

60. Lake Anna Project Conceptual Design Phase Completed

Our project in Lake Anna, Virginia is moving forward and our clients have now received a highly detailed set of conceptual drawings with floor plans and elevations for their review. These drawings help further define the project and are useful to builders as they begin providing estimates to our design clients. Please click the image to see the latest drawings.
